Fort Myers Christian School has a program to address the needs of students who have mild learning differences (ADHD, ADD, LD, dyslexia) and who can be successful grade level students with specific interventions. Mrs. Myra Stewart: Fort Myers, FL, United States; I have been teaching at Fort Myers Christian School since 1979: One year in PreK4, and the remainder in 1st grade and Learning Disabilities K-12 and K-8. I hold a current Florida teaching certificate in Elementary Education(grades 1-6) and Learning Disabilities (grades K-12)and have completed Reading Endorsement Competencies #1, #2, #3 and #4. I continue to educate myself by attending conferences, classes and webinars that directly relate to the students and their needs. My parents moved our family to Cape Coral from Ohio in 1968 and I began 7th grade at Cypress Lake Middle School. After graduating from Cypress Lake High School 1974, I attended Edison College 1974-75. One year after marrying in '75, my husband and I headed to Springfield, MO, where I graduated from Evangel University in 1979 with a B.A. in both Elementary Education and Learning Disabilities,and a minor Psychology.
